Face and backing: how a printed area rug is built
Our printed area rugs use a soft, low-pile face in faux wool, flannel or nylon, on a non-slip TPR or latex backing, 0.23″–0.35″ (about 6–9 mm) thick. They are foldable, machine-washable and stain-resistant, and they don't shed. For a plusher look, the cut-pile nylon rug pairs a cut-pile nylon face with an anti-slip rubber backing, and high-resolution printing reproduces logos, photos and detailed artwork.

Sizes and shapes for a printed rug range
The common sizes are 3x5′, 4x6′ and 5x7′, and custom sizes are available. Shapes include rectangle, oval and custom outlines. For most ranges, two or three rectangular sizes cover the main rooms, and an oval or a custom shape adds variety without multiplying stock.

Artwork: what to send
Send high-resolution artwork, ideally at the final rug size, with the colour references you need to match. Printing is full colour (CMYK digital printing), so gradients and photographic detail reproduce, but very fine lines can soften on a pile face. Keep important detail away from the edges, where the binding sits. Every design is confirmed on a free digital proof before production.
