Custom Logo Mats for Restaurants and Cafés: What to Put Where, From the Door to the Kitchen
A restaurant needs different mats at the door, on the bar, behind the counter and in the kitchen, and only some of them carry the logo. Here's how restaurant groups and café chains plan custom logo mats and working mats zone by zone, and how to order them as one set.

Friday, 7 p.m. Rain at the door, a queue at the counter, spilled drinks behind the bar and a line cook who has been standing since noon. Every one of those spots needs a mat, and they don't need the same one.
This guide is for restaurant groups, café chains and the hospitality buyers who fit them out. It covers which custom logo mats and working mats go in each zone, how to brand them and how to order for one site or many.
The short answer
Put a heavy rubber-backed custom logo mat at the entrance, a printed or rubber bar mat on the bar, a branded counter mat at the till and a cushioned anti-fatigue mat wherever staff stand for a shift. Brand the guest-facing mats; keep the kitchen mats about grip, comfort and cleaning.
Zone by zone: which mat goes where
| Zone | Mat | What it has to do |
|---|---|---|
| Entrance (outside) | Printed rubber logo mat | Take rain and grit, carry the logo |
| Entrance (inside) | Nylon logo mat | Trap what the outdoor mat missed |
| Bar | Rubber or sublimation bar mat | Catch spills, carry the brand on the bar |
| Counter and till | Printed counter mat | Protect the counter, show offers |
| Kitchen and prep | Anti-fatigue kitchen mat | Cushion 8-hour shifts, wipe clean |
Custom logo mats at the restaurant entrance
The entrance mat is the first thing a guest steps on and the hardest-working floor in the building. Our printed outdoor rubber logo mat is made for hotel and restaurant doorways: a nylon printed surface on a heavy anti-slip rubber base, in common thicknesses of 5mm, 6mm, 7mm and 8mm, built for continuous outdoor use at covered and open entrances.
Inside the door, a nylon logo mat traps the dirt and water the outdoor mat didn't catch, before it reaches the dining room floor. Our guide to what makes an entrance mat commercial grade explains what to check. If the mats go to a laundry service, ask for the nylon-and-rubber rental construction, which is machine-washable 300+ times.
Behind the bar
A bar mat catches drips and keeps the brand in front of the customer all night. There are two routes. A rubber bar mat with a custom logo has a raised edge and drainage channels, with a moulded or printed logo. A sublimation printed bar mat puts full-colour artwork on a 400gsm polyester surface over a 1900gsm nitrile rubber backing. Our comparison of rubber, PVC and sublimation bar mats explains which suits which bar.
At the counter and till
In a café, the counter is where the decision happens. A printed counter mat protects the counter from scratches and spills and puts the brand, the loyalty offer or the seasonal drink right where the customer pays. If the offer changes every month, an insert-window counter mat lets you swap the printed sheet without replacing the mat.
In the kitchen
Nobody reads a logo at the dish station. Kitchen mats are about the people standing on them. Our solid-grip anti-fatigue kitchen mat has a cushioned foam core, and the commercial-grade version is made for staff who stand through 8-hour shifts at prep counters, sinks and cooking lines. The PU or PVC surface is waterproof and wipes clean, the materials resist mould and bacteria, and the solid grip base keeps the mat in place. Size, thickness and edge bevel are made to the station.
Branding across a restaurant group
Use one master artwork and one set of brand colours for every guest-facing mat, so the entrance mat, bar mat and counter mat look like one brand. Logo mats are matched to Pantone references, and every design is confirmed on a free digital proof. For a chain, set a few standard sizes per zone; our guide to logo mats for multiple locations shows how.
How to order
Send a list of zones per site, the sizes, the quantities and your artwork. Custom orders typically take 20–30 days after the proof is approved, and stock items 7–15 days, before shipping. MOQ is confirmed in the quote. See the logo mat range or send us your restaurant plan.
