Floor Mats for Bars and Pubs: Entrances, Behind the Bar, the Bar Top and the Dartboard
A pub floor takes rain at the door, spilled beer behind the bar and darts bouncing off the board, often on the same Friday night. Here's which floor mats bars and pubs order for each spot, and how breweries supply branded mats to every venue they serve.

Friday, 9pm. The door has opened four hundred times since six, and every customer brought the rain in with them. Behind the bar, two staff have been on their feet since the afternoon, standing in a film of spilled lager. In the corner, a league match is on and a dart has just bounced off the wire onto the floorboards.
This guide is for bar and pub owners, pub groups, and the breweries and drinks brands that supply them. It covers floor mats for bars and pubs spot by spot, and what to send a supplier when you order.
The short answer
Bars and pubs need a logo entrance mat at the door, anti-fatigue mats on the floor behind the bar and in the kitchen, bar mats on the bar top, a dart mat with a printed throw line under the dartboard, and a printed counter mat at the till. A brewery supplying many pubs can put its own logo on most of these.
At the door: an entrance mat that takes the weather
A pub door is open all evening, in every kind of weather. Outside or in an open porch, the printed outdoor rubber logo mat has a heavy anti-slip rubber base in common thicknesses of 5mm, 6mm, 7mm and 8mm and is made for continuous outdoor use. Inside the door, a nylon logo mat on a rubber backing catches the water and grit that get past the first mat.
Put the pub's name on the mat, or the sign people already know. The artwork is matched to Pantone references and confirmed on a free digital proof before production.
Behind the bar: anti-fatigue mats for long shifts
Bar staff stand on a hard floor for the whole shift, and that floor is often wet. The solid-grip anti-fatigue mat puts a cushioned PU / PVC foam core under their feet to ease pressure on feet, knees and lower back. Commercial-grade versions are made for 8-hour shifts.
Behind a bar, the surface matters as much as the cushioning. The surface is waterproof and stain-resistant, so spilled beer stays on top and wipes off, and the materials resist mould and bacteria. A solid grip base keeps the mat where it was laid. Order it to the length of the service area, so staff aren't stepping on and off a short mat all night; the same mat suits the pub kitchen, at the pass and the dish station.
On the bar top: moulded or printed bar mats
Bar mats catch drips under glasses at the pumps and the cocktail station, and they're the most-photographed branding in the pub. There are two constructions:
- Moulded: a rubber bar mat with a custom logo in food-safe rubber or PVC, with a raised edge that holds spills and drains liquid, a moulded or printed logo and a non-slip base. It suits wet, busy service stations.
- Printed: a sublimation printed bar mat with a 400gsm polyester surface on a 1900gsm nitrile rubber backing, 3mm thick, printed edge to edge in full colour. MOQ is 50 pieces. It suits detailed artwork, taprooms and brand promotions.
If your logo is a flat one- or two-colour mark, moulded usually wins. If it needs more than four colours or includes a photo, go printed. Our custom bar mat buyer's guide covers sizes, artwork files and cleaning in more detail.
Under the dartboard: a dart mat with a printed throw line
A season of league nights leaves the floor under a dartboard full of small holes, and a taped throw line peels at both ends. A dart mat takes the bounce-outs and carries a printed oche that stays exactly where it was printed. Tell us the distance or distances your players use, measured from the face of the board, and the lines are printed to your measurements.
Dart mats come in nylon on latex, polyester on latex, or heat-sublimation-printed polyester on a non-woven backing, in a custom length. They ship rolled, so the mat can be rolled away after a match. See our guide to dart mats with printed throw lines.
At the till: a printed counter mat
The spot where customers pay is small, but everyone looks at it. A printed branded counter mat has a full-colour PVC top on an anti-slip foam rubber base, in 12″×24″, 18″×36″ or 24″×48″ or a custom size. Use it for a guest beer, a food menu or the quiz night. For offers that change every week, an insert-window counter mat takes a new printed sheet without a new mat.
For breweries and drinks brands supplying many pubs
A brewery or drinks brand that supplies dozens of pubs can put its logo on bar mats, dart mats and counter mats and send them out as point-of-sale kits. Keep one artwork and a small number of standard sizes, so every venue gets the same look and reorders are simple. A pub group can do the same with its own entrance mats; see logo mats for multiple locations.
Ask for a physical pre-production sample before a large run. It's the easiest way to check colour and logo height before the mats reach every bar.
How to order
Send the door sizes, the length of the area behind the bar, the bar top length, the throw distance for the dartboard, quantities and your logo. Stock items typically ship in 7–15 days and custom orders in 20–30 days, plus shipping; MOQ is confirmed in the quote. See the bar mat range or send us your pub's list.
