Floor Mats for Breweries, Wineries and Distilleries: Taproom, Tasting Room, Production Floor and Merch Shop
A brewery, winery or distillery is a bar, a factory and a shop under one roof, and each part needs a different mat. Here's what goes on the taproom bar, behind the counter, at the packing line, at the door and on the merch shelf.

Saturday, 3 p.m. at a craft brewery. The taproom is full, a tour group is walking through the brewhouse, two staff are packing a pallet of cans for Monday, and the merch shop has just sold its last branded glass. Visitors come in from a gravel car park; at a winery, they might come straight from a walk through the vines.
Most mat guides treat a brewery as just another bar. It isn't. It is a bar, a production floor and a shop at once, and each of those needs a different mat. This guide is for breweries, wineries and distilleries, and for the drinks brands and distributors that supply them.
The short answer
Breweries, wineries and distilleries use rubber or sublimation-printed bar mats on the taproom bar and tasting counter, anti-fatigue mats behind the bar, industrial anti-fatigue mats cut to size at packing and labelling stations, heavy printed logo mats at the visitor entrance, and an insert-window counter mat at the till. Many also sell branded bar mats and door mats in the merch shop.
On the taproom bar and tasting counter
The bar top is where your logo sits next to every pour. There are two constructions, and the choice comes down to how wet the bar gets.
A rubber bar mat with a custom logo has a raised edge and drainage channels that catch spills and drain liquid, with a moulded or printed logo along the bar. It suits the pour station of a busy taproom, where overflow from the taps is constant.
A sublimation printed bar mat has a 400gsm polyester surface on a 1900gsm nitrile rubber backing, 3mm thick, printed edge to edge in full colour. The artwork is heat-pressed into the polyester at 180°C (356°F) for about 60 seconds, so photos, label artwork and gradients print in full. It is the better choice for a winery tasting counter, where the mat is a display as much as a drip catcher. MOQ is 50 pieces.
Behind the bar: mats for long shifts
Bar staff stand on a hard floor for a full shift. The solid-grip anti-fatigue kitchen mat puts a cushioned PU / PVC foam core under their feet, with commercial-grade versions made for 8-hour shifts. The surface is waterproof and stain-resistant, so spilled beer or wine wipes off, and the materials resist mould and bacteria. A solid grip base keeps it in place. The same mat works in the kitchen if the taproom serves food.
On the production and packing floor
Canning, bottling and labelling stations are where people stand longest. An industrial anti-fatigue mat is made to the size and shape you specify, so it can run the length of a packing bench or fit an awkward footprint around a labeller. It has a cushioned PU foam core, a non-slip base, a bevelled edge for a smoother step on and off, and a wipe-clean surface.
Production floors vary a lot from one site to the next. Before you order, tell us how each area is cleaned and what lands on the floor there, and we will confirm which stations the mat suits. We'd rather say no to one station than sell you a mat that doesn't last.
At the visitor entrance
Gravel, mud and rain come in with every tour group. Outside, a heavy printed logo mat in MC-2200 (700 g/m² nylon, 7mm) or MC-2300 (950 g/m² nylon, 8mm) holds more dirt and water, and the weight keeps it flat. A covered taproom door with lighter traffic can use MC-2450 (450 g/m², 5mm), which starts from one piece. If a drinks brand is supplying logo mats to many venues, MC-2000 (600 g/m², 6mm, MOQ 100m²) prints spot colours sharply and is the cost-effective choice for multi-site orders. Our guide to logo mats for multiple locations explains how one approved design is produced in different sizes for each venue.
In the merch shop: mats your visitors take home
Visitors who liked the beer want something with the logo on it, and a mat is a merch item that lasts longer than a T-shirt.
- Home bar mats: the sublimation printed bar mat, from 50 pieces, in your label artwork.
- Branded door mats: MC-2450 starts from one piece for small runs; for larger promotional quantities, MC-2270P (270gsm polyester on 600gsm latex, 5mm) starts from 300m².
- Drink mats for venues that pour your products: see custom drink mats for beverage brands.
- Game-corner extras: a dart throw-line mat with printed oche markings for the taproom dartboard.
At the till and tour desk
The till is where visitors book tours, join a club and buy bottles. An insert-window counter mat holds a printed sheet under a clear lift-up window, so the new seasonal release, the tour times or the club offer can be swapped without a new mat. For a bar that also runs a pub estate, our guide to floor mats for bars and pubs covers the rest of the venue.
How to order
Send the bar length and pour-station layout, the sizes of your packing stations, the entrance sizes, your logo or label artwork, and the merch quantities you have in mind. Every design is confirmed on a free digital proof. Logo mat samples take 10–15 days; stock items typically ship in 7–15 days and custom orders in 20–30 days, plus shipping. See the bar mat range or send us your plan.
