Modular carpet tiles are pre-cut squares and planks of carpet that are laid one by one, so a floor can be installed in phases, mixed in patterns and repaired by swapping a single tile. They are used in offices and meeting rooms, hotels, airports, malls, libraries, museums, exhibition and banquet halls, hospitals, banks and server rooms, and contractors order them for construction projects.
The tile is built from two choices. The face is nylon, PP (polypropylene) or flame-retardant polyester: nylon is the hard-wearing, flame-retardant choice for busy commercial floors, while PP and polyester suit tighter budgets and lighter traffic. The backing is PVC, TPE, PE, thin or thick felt, PU or bitumen. PVC is the most common backing on our project orders; if you choose PE, plan the adhesive with your installer, because a PE backing is fussier about glue.
Standard sizes are 50×50cm, 25×100cm and 60×60cm (61×61cm). Custom sizes are possible and work best in multiples of 25cm, because of the machine width and to keep the pattern continuous across tiles. Tell us the floor area, the space type, the colours and the fire rating your project needs; we confirm the construction, send samples to choose from, and quote MOQ and lead time.

Common questions
Nylon for busy offices, hotels and public buildings: it is the hard-wearing, flame-retardant option. PP and flame-retardant polyester cost less and suit lighter traffic and budget projects. Tell us the space and the traffic, and we recommend a construction.
Some ranges have in-stock designs from 1m². Standard production usually starts at 300–500m² per design, depending on the range. Custom colours and sizes are confirmed in the quotation.
Typically 5m² per carton. For LCL shipments, 28 cartons (140m²) go on a pallet; for full containers, 56 cartons (280m²) per pallet. The pallet is about 1.1×1.1×2.2m.
Our project orders use ±2% on quantity, ±2% on tile size and ±5% on weight. Colour variation, poor bonding and undersized tiles are treated as defects.
Nylon-face tiles are normally classified under 5703.29 and PP-face tiles under 5703.39. Please confirm the final classification with your customs broker.
